Donald Kirkpatrick is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado and Associate Director of Medical Specialties at Denver Health, Colorado’s Safety Net Hospital. He graduated from RA Long HS in 1978 and holds degrees from the University of Puget Sound, Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Medicine, and Harvard University’s School of Public Health.  He began violin studies with Karl Spellman in Longview and then with University of Puget Sound Professors Edward Seferian and Maria Sampen.  His current teacher is Colorado Symphony Concertmaster Yumi Hwang Williams.
